Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

“Everyone says it’s CRPS… but I’m still looking for answers.”

Maybe your pain started after surgery, an injury, or even something that seemed minor.

Now your arm or leg burns, aches, swells, changes color, or hurts when anything touches it. You’ve tried medications, physical therapy, injections, or other treatments, but life still revolves around the pain.

You may have been told this is simply something you have to live with.

At Alypos, we believe it’s worth taking another careful look.

You may be thinking…

“Nothing has really helped.”

Relief has been temporary—or never came at all,

“My pain seems out of proportion.”

Even light touch or normal movement can feel unbearable.

“I’ve seen multiple specialists and still don’t have clarity.”

Every appointment seems to lead to another medication or another referral.

“I just want someone to figure out what’s actually going on.”

You’re looking for answers, not assumptions.

Sometimes what’s driving the pain gets missed

A CRPS diagnosis is important, but it doesn’t always tell the whole story.

Some patients have additional nerve injuries, joint problems, tendon pathology, scar tissue, or other pain generators that deserve attention.

Others need a fresh look at the diagnosis itself.

That’s why the first step is understanding your pain—not rushing into another treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is all severe limb pain CRPS?

No. CRPS can be difficult to diagnose, and other pain generators may mimic or contribute to similar symptoms. Evaluation focuses on confirming the diagnosis and identifying what else may be driving the pain.

What if I already have a CRPS diagnosis?

A prior diagnosis is important, but it should still be reviewed in context. At Alypos, the goal is to understand whether CRPS fully explains your symptoms or whether additional nerve, joint, tendon, or soft tissue contributors are present.

Do you treat CRPS with ketamine?

Ketamine therapy may be considered for carefully selected patients with refractory CRPS or central sensitization. It is not appropriate for every patient and is recommended only after physician evaluation.

Do you perform sympathetic blocks?

Yes, sympathetic blocks may be considered when the clinical findings suggest an autonomic component to the pain. Treatment decisions are individualized rather than protocol driven.

Can regenerative medicine help CRPS?

Regenerative treatment is not used as a generic CRPS treatment. It may be considered only when a specific structural pain generator is identified, such as joint, tendon, ligament, or soft tissue pathology.

What makes the Alypos approach different?

Care begins with physician-performed evaluation. The goal is to identify the pain generator and understand the mechanisms contributing to persistent symptoms before recommending treatment.

Take the next step

If you feel like you’ve exhausted your options but still don’t have answers, a comprehensive physician evaluation may help clarify what’s driving your symptoms and what options remain.
