Ketamine-Infusion Therapy

"Wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity." —Hippocrates

Physical therapy.

Injections.

Maybe even surgery.

Yet you’re still in pain.

Or you’re struggling with depression or PTSD despite doing everything you were told to do.

I have CRPS and hurt every day.

Widespread pain and fatigue make it hard to function the way you want.

Pain never went away after surgery.

Healing happened, but the pain never truly resolved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a candidate for ketamine therapy?

Not everyone is. Ketamine is considered only after physician evaluation and may be appropriate for selected patients with chronic pain, CRPS, nerve pain, fibromyalgia, treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, or other complex conditions.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Every patient undergoes a physician consultation before treatment. The goal is to determine whether ketamine is appropriate and whether another treatment may be a better fit.

Who performs the infusion?

Every ketamine infusion at Alypos is personally administered and supervised by Dr. Bernhardt, a board-certified anesthesiologist and board-certified pain medicine physician.

Is the dose the same for every patient?

No. Treatment is individualized based on your condition, medical history, body weight, response, and treatment goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Will I be asleep during treatment?

No. Most patients remain awake but relaxed throughout the infusion. The experience varies from person to person, and you are monitored continuously during treatment.

How many infusions will I need?

Most patients who undergo ketamine therapy begin with a series of approximately six infusions over several weeks. The exact schedule is tailored to the patient’s condition, response, and practical considerations.

Is ketamine a cure?

No. Ketamine is one potential tool that may reduce symptoms and improve function in carefully selected patients. It is incorporated into an overall treatment plan rather than viewed as a standalone cure.

Can I drive myself home afterward?

No. Because ketamine can temporarily affect judgment, coordination, and perception, you should arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home after treatment.

If You Feel Like You’ve Run Out of Options
